Solicited Proposals
Requests for proposals in neurofibromatosis type 1 research.
NTAP research initiatives are dedicated to ensuring that early discoveries are translated into effective treatments for plexiform neurofibromas (pNFs) and cutaneous neurofibromas (cNFs) as efficiently as possible.
Solicited proposals target key gaps in the understanding of pNFs and cNFs and accelerate the development of therapies against these tumors. In addition to funding projects, NTAP supports up to 10% in indirect costs. New requests for proposals (RFPs) are announced on this page and through the NF1 Research Acceleration Newsletter.
In addition to targeted RFPs for pNFs and cNFs, proposals are solicited through the Francis S. Collins Scholars Program in Clinical and Translational Research annually.
Examples of previous initiatives launched via solicited proposals include:
- 04/27/2022: Biology and Therapeutic Development for Cutaneous Neurofibromas
- 01/01/2020: Opening the data drawers
- 04/19/2017: Understanding of Cutaneous Neurofibromas
